TAKING CARE OF WETLANDS
Posted by eBomvini eco club, South Africa on 7 February 2018
Post related to Clean that water up!,

We did a challenge about the importance of wetlands and how to take care of them. Learners were very excited about this challenge , drawing a poster in their groups , showing their interest about  wetlands. Wetlands do so many things for us  for free like: clean and purify, store and prevent flooding. The children were then challenged to clean some dirty water by making a filter  using different sands, cotton wool etc this was really hard to get the water clean, and the filter showed us how wetlands worked. Wetlands clean our water for free. Water treatment is costing a lot of money which reminded us not to waste water and why wetlands are so important.
