With the recent icy weather streching over the UK our Water Explorers turned Ice Explorers this week. Their challenge was to save animals that had been frozen in ice. They used lots of different techniques and found hot water and salt worked the best to defrost the ice. We used the opportunity to discuss animals who live on ice like polar bears and penguins and what changes global warming is causing to their habitats.
