On Friday 22nd it was World Water Day. To celebrate water as an essential resource our Water Explorers and some of the Year 7s were invited to bake cakes and sell them at break time. The tables were laden with an incredible number of delicious big cakes, cup cakes, brownies and cookies. Almost all of the cakes sold and we were just left with a few crumbs at the end. We raised a staggering £150.45 which has been donated to the charity 'Toilet Twinning' to help provide sanitation facilities in Malawi - one of the countries affected by Cyclone Idai. We will receive certificates and put them on one of the cubicle doors in both the boys and girls toilets - they will act as a reminder of water as a precious global resource.
